Default Key Macros

So i'm spamming Pumpkin Cookies for Sweet Tooth by Saccing to death with BiP, being ressed with UA by heroes then using 2 Cookies then repeating.

I can use key binds with my keyboard so i'm wondering, is assign a key to the double click function illegal?

My current setup in Numpad 1 and 2 are BiP and Numpad 3 is Double Click so I just hover my mouse over my stack of Cookes and roll my fingers over 1,2,3.

Whilst i'm not using a bot or autoclicker, is it possible/likely it'll be flagged as such? Especially as there's 0 delay between the double clicks.

I think you're fine. As long as you're interacting with the game to control it. Illegal would be looping your 1-2-3 presses at an exact time interval and walking away.

you can use fully automated scripts to do lots and lots of stuff, and as long as you're not getting reported NOTHING will happen. (note, scripts, not injected .dll's or .exes)

If the macro is used to gain an advantage over other players such as in combat then they are against it.

Using a macro to save yourself some boring mundane game activity shouldn't cause you any problem.

*shrug* I suggested this very thing to someone else in another thread -- bind mouseclicks to a keyboard key -- and my post was deleted and the thread locked. Granted, that's GWG and not ArenaNet, but I still think even this is touchy.

I wish I had the post available, think back to the auto click (macro) discussion on the drunk title. I think the discussion was that it was 'technically' a violation of the EULA, but that for the most part A-Net wouldn't care.

Here is a link to the discussion about the G15 keyboard macros in which Post #6 has the text of a discussion with Support about the macros.

Also ArenaNet has said in the past that while they currently are not banning for simple-key binding, it is subject to change.
